About Vivelid Nilssen

Erlend Vivelid Nilssen – A norwegian flyfisher.
Currently on the national team, ready for World Flyfishing Championship 2016.

Bio
Erlend Vivelid Nilssen was born in 1986, grandson of the known writer Lars Vivelid. As his grandfather, Erlend also grew an interest in the beautiful nature on Hardangervidda, and nature in general. At the age of ten, he discovered the joy of flyfishing, and have been hooked ever since.

Today Erlend can call him self Norwegian flyfishing Champion several times, and he has also won the Norwegian Flyfishing Cup several years. He has qualified for the national flyfishing team every year since 2007. He has participated in international competitions like youth World Championship, two European Championships, and nine senior World Championships. Vivelid Nilssen have in his young age showed some impressive achivements. He became junior Norwegian Champion in 2004, and senior Norwegian Champion in 2010. He won the Norwegian Cup overall in 2010, 2011, 2014, 2015 and 2016, and won both Norwegian Cup and Norwegian Championship sereval years with his team «Team Piscatourius».

In everyday life he works with sports, hunting and fishing equipment, and takes guiding assignments on requests. He is also a qualified fly casting instructor in the national Norwegian hunting and fishing association.
